About the project: 

Roser de Maig Foundation is an educational and community organization promoting inclusion, learning, social care.  

Founded in 1994 as Esplai del Roser, it grew steadily through summer camps, study programmes, and community initiatives. In 2017, it became the Roser de Maig Foundation. Today, it collaborates with local entities, operates across Catalonia, and has an international presence — all driven by a mission of service to those who need it most. 

Their volunteer project this year about astronomy, they have a project in the Atmella del Valles, where they will create a small space where residents and volunteers can learn a little more about our skies. The volunteers will create a wooden booth which will house a telescope.

VSI is a small charity and we charge a fee on a sliding scale (€55 - €155) to volunteer on our projects, this includes food accommodation, basic insurance whilst on the project and VSI annual membership. Volunteers pay for their own travel to the country and internal travel to/from the projects and any visa fees.  More info here.

 

Please note, some of the descriptions mention an additional fee (of €50.00) when applying through non-SCI organisations, VSI is an SCI branch and this additional fee does not apply.  Some projects charge an additional fee for all volunteers, this will be clearly stated.
