Join VSI's 'Youth for Climate Justice' Project 2023!
Our Youth for Climate Justice Project is back! The project will bring together a small group of young people to learn about climate justice and how we can help achieve it. We will take a look at the climate crisis from a human-centered perspective, focusing on the inequalities caused by climate change and empowering young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to advocate for climate justice.
Starting with an in-person workshop on Saturday 25th November and continuing online in the evenings from 27th – 29th November, with a final in-person day on Saturday 2nd December, participants will attend interactive and informal workshops on climate justice. Participants will use this learning and work in groups to create a mini-social media campaign or poster on climate justice which will be shared by VSI. Interested participants will also be supported by VSI to organise and facilitate their own climate justice workshop in January 2024. Professional online facilitation training will be provided to these participants to help them deliver their workshop.
We'll look at the climate crisis from a human-centered perspective, focusing on the inequalities created by climate change, nationally and globally, and recognising climate action as one part of broader action towards reducing inequalities and poverty, and creating a better future for all. We're looking for participants who care about climate justice and want to learn more!

Following the online workshops, participants will work in groups to create a social media post that will form part of the social media campaign that will be disseminated as a follow-up to the project. Participants will also be given the option to work on a poster if preferred. Participants should allow at least 3 hours for this activity, but can commit more time to this if they’d like.
To round up, there will be one more in-person workshop in Dublin on Saturday 2nd of December.
Furthermore, participants will be invited to create and deliver their own short workshop for the public in January 2024, with the support of VSI.
