About the Project: Following the devastating floods caused by the DANA, this project aims to provide help and reconstruct the affected areas and municipalities in the Horta Nord of Valencia. This project will represent a crucial effort to support and empower the communities through the strength of volunteers, grassroots organizations, and local environmental experts, we seek to create a lasting impact.

 

Type of work: Through reconstruction, education, and advocacy, volunteers will support residents thought mutual aid and community driven solutions. They will dvocate for accountability from government of-ficials to prevent future negligence in emergency responses. Then they will econstruct and restore social spaces.

 

Accommodation: The accommodation will be in Alaquàs, Valencia

 

Language: English, knowledge in Catalan is a plus.

VSI is a small charity and we charge a fee (€55 - €155) to volunteer on our projects, this includes food, accommodation, basic insurance whilst on the project and VSI annual membership. Volunteers pay for their own travel to the country and internal travel to/from the projects and any visa fees.
