Events and Communications Officer in Moldova

The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova, based in Chișinău, is looking for an Irish volunteer starting as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

About the organisation

The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova is a non-governmental non-profit organization, founded on September 4, 2006. As a member of the international network of 125 American Chambers worldwide, the American Chamber of Commerce Moldova connects businesses and business leaders to share the common goal of bringing the entrepreneurial spirit and the cultures of Moldova and the United States closer together. The Mission of American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova is to promote American trade and investment in Moldova and to work with the Moldovan government and business leaders to foster a more favourable business climate in Moldova for foreign trade and investment.

Volunteer’s role

The main tasks of the volunteer will include:

- administrating AmCham’s website & Facebook page;

- elaborating & distributing the AmCham Weekly Bulletin, travel guide, etc.;

- administrating AmCham E-Manager (maintaining and updating members database and major mailing lists);

- providing assistance to the Event’s Manager in organizing different business events;

- actively participating in AmCham events, as well as other relevant events where AmCham is invited (meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.).

Requirements

 The volunteer should:
- preferably have a background in an economical or business-related field;
- be interested in improving their marketing and events experience and knowledge;
- have a good command of English; 
- be open to learn about a new culture and live in another country, being able to adapt to a new environment.

Accommodation

The volunteer will live in a host family or a volunteer flat with shared kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Each volunteer will have his/her own room.
