VSI Membership Fees

  • Wage Earners € 27.00
  • Non Wage Earners € 14.00

VSI Programme Fee:

A fee of €140 applies to all participants for projects in 1 country. €40 extra for each additional project in a different country

This fee is to cover:

  • VSI Administration
  • SCI International Co-Ordination.
  • Contribution to African/Asian/Latin American Volunteers Programme in Ireland
  • Please include your VSI Membership fee + the VSI Programme fee with your application
  • Cancellations and Refunds
    If you have to cancel your application, please let us know immediately. Once placed on a project of your choice, you will not be entitled to a refund of your Programme Placement fee, apart from in exceptional cases. However, if we are unable to place you on a project, we will refund your placement fee (but not your VSI membership fee), you will remain a member of VSI for one year.

VSI's Africa, Asia, Latin America Programme is comprised of four parts all of which are integral to the AALA programme:

  • Preparation programme
  • Volunteer Projects
  • Evaluation Workshop on return
  • Completing Evaluation form

Participation at each stage is essential.

Preparation Programme

We organise a comprehensive preparation and orientation programme/briefing for participants.

Our main Preparation Programme takes place from March to May. Volunteers applying outside of this period should contact the office for details of other Preparation Workshops.
