EVS in France 5
VSI is looking for 1 volunteer to work with our partner organization in the beautiful city of Reims, France. The city holds 200,000 inhabitants, and is located 150km to the east of Paris.
Project Title: CRIJ Chamagne-Ardenne
Theme: Working with the youth community
CRIJ Champagne-Ardenne is a non-profit organization located in the city of Reims. The organization provides different activities and information sessions about Europe and international mobility, to young people in the community.
Volunteers will contribute to the media and communication department of the organization by creating videos and presentations to provide useful information to the local youth community. Together with the EVS coordinators, volunteers will support French youth interested in broadening their horizons, by taking part in information events on European citizenship, as well as implementing a few social projects in the neighbourhood.
Volunteers should be open-minded, positive, and responsible individuals who enjoy working in the field of communication and youth development. They will be expected to take initiative when needed and have the ability to adapt to adverse situations. Volunteers who are familiar with filmmaking and media creation can use this opportunity to develop on their previous skills; however, we encourage individuals with little experience to volunteer but be motivated to learn such skills in the media realm. Though the additional skill of basic French would be useful, no volunteer is required to have any prior knowledge on the language. Language advancement opportunities can be provided on site.
Volunteers will share a fully equipped apartment with two other students. Money will be provided to volunteers to compensate for local transportation and food expenses.
We are recruiting 1 volunteer from Ireland to take part in this project and join the CRIJ Champagne-Ardenne project to work with the youth community.
